Welcome to Zermatt

Zermatt, located at 1,608 metres at the foot of the iconic Matterhorn, is one of the most emblematic Alpine destinations in the world. This car-free village, bathed in light and surrounded by prestigious peaks rising above four thousand metres, captivates visitors with its elegance, authenticity and breathtaking mountain scenery.

In winter, Zermatt offers an exceptional ski area, renowned for its snow quality, spectacular views and reliable conditions. Linked with Cervinia in Italy, the resort forms one of the largest ski domains in the Alps, featuring varied slopes, legendary descents and the possibility to ski almost all year on the glacier.
The village atmosphere, its lively lanes, traditional chalets and high-end hotels create a unique setting where luxury, mountain culture and tradition meet.

In summer, Zermatt becomes a paradise for nature lovers and high-mountain enthusiasts. Panoramic trails, alpine lakes, mountain pastures and iconic viewpoints such as the Gornergrat or the Matterhorn Glacier Trail reveal some of the most striking landscapes in the Alps.
For mountaineers, Zermatt is one of Europe’s most prestigious bases, offering direct access to numerous four-thousanders and historic climbing routes.

Throughout the year, Zermatt combines art of living, gastronomy, wellness, elegance and tradition. Gourmet restaurants, sunlit terraces, old wooden houses and international events enrich the vibrant village life.

A true symbol of the Alps, Zermatt is a destination where nature, mountains and emotion come together with remarkable intensity.
