Welcome to Jeizinen-Engersch
Jeizinen Engersch, perched on a natural balcony between 1500 and 1700 metres above the Rhône Valley, form a small and authentic mountain destination filled with sunlight and Alpine tranquility. Linked by paths and open landscapes, the two hamlets offer a peaceful environment where tradition and nature come together harmoniously.
Jeizinen, accessible by cable car from Gampel, is the heart of the area. This sunny village retains its mountain charm with traditional chalets, quiet lanes and remarkable views of the Valais Alps.
Engersch, located slightly higher, captivates with its preserved atmosphere and wide panoramic views over the valley.
In winter, Jeizinen offers a small, friendly ski area ideal for families, beginners and those seeking a calm setting away from major resorts. The sunlit slopes provide enjoyable skiing with open views of the surrounding peaks. Snowshoeing, winter walks and small high altitude routes complete the experience.
In summer, the region becomes a paradise for nature and mountain lovers. Numerous hiking trails lead to alpine pastures and panoramic viewpoints, while mountain biking routes offer varied terrain through forests, meadows and scenic ridgelines. The tranquillity of the area, its rich flora and fauna and the gentle mountain climate make it a perfect place to recharge.
Families particularly enjoy the easy walks, rest areas and the immediate access to pristine nature.
Authentic, sunny and close to the mountains, Jeizinen and Engersch offer a simple, warm and deeply natural Alpine experience.
